Executive Desk v5.0 on Monochrome VGA

If you're using a Monochrome monitor make
sure you use the color drivers like VGA
instead of Monochrome VGA in Window Setup.

This will enable Exec Desk to use the grey
shades for better visibility and contrast.

Executive Desk v5.0 Dialer Update Release Note

If you are using Windows for Workgroup ver 3.11
and PCMCIA 14.4/14.4 Modem with 16550 UART, this
may cause the system to hang when you use the 
Executive Desk dialer to dial a phone number.

Nature of Problem
-----------------
You may be able to make one connection after starting
Windows, but subsequent connections may hang your system.
   
Solution to the Problem
-----------------------
Copying updated (latest) versions of SERIAL.386 and COMM.DRV 
(Windows System files) into the \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory 
should eliminate this problem.
